LABORER
CITY OF BOWLING GREEN
WATER DISTRIBUTION & WASTEWATER COLLECTION DIVISION
BGEO Pay Grade 1: Current Hourly Pay Range: $18.26 to $23.30 per hour
Base of 40 hours per week/2080 annual hours
Hourly position responsible for assisting in the daily operations at the Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Division. Assists operating jet truck and CCTV truck; Assists with maintenance and repair of sewer lift stations; Assists making new taps on water mains; Assists making water main bores; Assists installing and repairing fire hydrants; Installs new water and sewer mains and services; Assists repairing water main breaks; Repairs blacktop and concrete; Maintains vehicles and equipment; Exercises water main valves; Returns jobsites to original condition; Performs general/seasonal building and lawn maintenance and janitorial duties; and Performs other related duties as assigned. Job requires incumbent to stand, walk, talk/hear, use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with hands/arms and lift up to 80 pounds. Incumbent must be able to perform manual labor on a regular basis. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; one to six months of relevant experience; valid Ohio Driver’s License; or any combination of education, training and work experience which provides the required skill sets to perform the essential functions of the job.
