Clay County Public Health nurses adhere to professional community health nursing practices and performs nursing services in community health programs for the public to meet set program goals. 
   Specifically, this position COVID vaccination services to clients within the Community Health Promotion team.
   This position is PRN/temporary in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Work will primarily be conducted on weekdays.
   Duties include:
    
   Administers COVID vaccinations and age-appropriate health education following established protocols and clinical standards
   Provides culturally acceptable/culturally competent services to clients following program guidelines, including intake, education, counseling and referrals
   Save Changes
   Completes administrative duties accurately, including processing necessary paperwork and utilizing EHR
   Maintains accurate and organized work records
   Informs supervisor if concerns arise while working with a client
   Maintains strict confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations
   Other duties as assigned
   Position Qualifications:
    
   Public Health Nurse- LPN: An LPN License within the State of Missouri is required
   Public Health Nurse I:
   An Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and an RN License within the State of Missouri is required
   Public Health Nurse II: A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and an RN License within the State of Missouri is required
   A track record of excellent communication, customer service, computer, and attention to detail skills are also required, including the ability to interact professionally and with culturally diverse individuals. 
   Candidates must have or be able to obtain professional liability insurance.
