The upcoming Republican Primary Election will be held on Tuesday , June 21 , 2022 .
   In person Absentee voting is available in the Voter Registration Office , located at 440 Market Street , First Floor , Suffolk , Virginia and begins on Friday , May 6 , 2022 . The office hours are Monday through Friday , 8:30 a . m . to 4:30 p . m . Saturday hours will be observed on June 11 , 2022 and June 18 , 2022 from 8:30 a . m . to 4:30 p . m . for early voting .
   The deadline to register or update your voter information for the June 21 , 2022 Republican Primary Election is Tuesday May 31 , 2022 .
   The deadline to apply for a ballot to be mailed to you is Friday , June 10 , 2022 . The last day to vote by absentee ballot in person at your local Voter Registration Office is Saturday , June 18 , 2022 .
   Virginia law requires all voters to provide either an acceptable form of ID or sign an ID Confirmation Statement at the polls . Voters arriving at the polls without an acceptable form of ID will be required to either sign an ID Confirmation Statement or vote a provisional ballot .
