☷ Henderson Nevada - Henderson Police Conclude Joining Forces Targeting Distracted Drivers 21 June 2022

   Henderson , Nev . –
    ( June 21 , 2022 ) The City of Henderson Police Department concluded its 13th campaign under the current Joining Forces Program targeting distracted drivers .
   During the enforcement initiative that ran from June 3rd through June 20th , Henderson Police Officers made a total of 582 traffic stops .  
   Of the 582 stops completed , Traffic Officers issued 325 citations for speeding , 92 distracted driving citations ( such as cell phone use ) , and 110 other traffic related citations .   
    
   The Henderson Police Department received $237 , 300 in federal funding for the enhanced enforcement initiatives through the Nevada Department of Public Safety - Office of Traffic Safety for the 2022 Joining Forces program .   
   The grant provides funding for enhanced enforcement and education to reduce deaths and injuries on Nevada roadways . Enforcement events during the year focus on pedestrian safety , seat belt use , speeding , distracted driving , and impaired driving .
