The City of Siloam Springs is accepting applications for a Heavy Equipment Operator in the Water/Wastewater Department.    
   The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment, installing, maintaining, and repairing water and sewer infrastructure, and assisting with the maintenance of streets within the jurisdictional boundaries of the City of Siloam Springs.
   Oversee repair, installation and maintenance of water and sewer infrastructure.
   Operate required equipment to clean out sewer lines including, but not limited to the jetter trailer and combination jetter/vacuum truck.
   Ensure the proper maintenance of the equipment and tools by cleaning and checking equipment prior to and after use.
   Drive trucks of various sizes for the loading, hauling, and unloading of various equipment, gravel and sand.
   Operate light and heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and backhoes.
   Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to supervisor.
   Performs unskilled manual labor, as necessary, in a variety of maintenance and construction projects within the Water/Wastewater Division.
   Perform mowing functions as necessary.
   Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
   Perform required labor involved in construction and maintenance projects as part of a crew, including, but not limited to; pavement cutting, ditch digging, main and pipe repair, pipe laying, backfilling, and clean up.
   Ensure public safety and health by performing duties to established standards.
    
   Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
