Provides professional and administrative support to the City’s Human Resources department as directed. Responsibilities include providing customer service to City employees, applicants, and other organizations. Assists and coordinates professional human resources activities in the areas of recruiting, benefits, training, employee relations, performance management, compensation/classification and/or testing, in order to select, develop and retain a qualified workforce in compliance with City policies and procedures. Performs a variety of duties related to human resources. Responds to employee and department inquiries and complaints and provides human resources assistance to departments. Champions the City Core Values of
Accountability, Engagement, Stewardship, Service, Transparency and Partnerships.
Associate degree or at least 60 college hours in Human Resources, Business Administration and at least three (3) years of Human Resources experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field highly preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience that generates the requisite level of knowledge, skill and ability is acceptable. Municipal experience is highly preferred.
Must possess a valid driver license. Certification in Human Resources preferred.
