The Carbon Valley Rec Center gymnasium will be closed Monday , August 15 through Friday , September 2 for remodeling .
The recreation and senior centers will be closed for annual maintenance Monday , August 22 through Sunday , August 28 . The Erie Community Center and the Ft . Lupton Recreation Center will honor CVPRD member passes during the closure however they will not honor punch passes or child care passes . Child care passes may be purchased at both facilities for a fee .
Many of our group fitness classes will held at the CVPRD Studio located at 8350 Colorado Blvd . , Unit 180 in Firestone ( next to Dairy Queen ) . Visit

Much of what happens during shutdown may not be visible to patrons , but it ' s important and allows the facility to operate year - round . The annual shutdown allows the District to complete large projects that cannot be completed when the facility is open , such as the installation of new carpet and painting . Many other projects will be completed during the closure along with smaller tasks such as equipment maintenance , deep cleaning , and more .
