Applicants selected will be required to be interviewed and perform an equipment operation field test. Please wear appropriate attire.
This position is responsible for performing skilled work assignments associated with grounds maintenance of sites under city obligation. Functional supervision over assigned crew in the absence of the supervisor. Operate mowing tractors, riding mowers and push mowers, trimmers, edgers and blowers. Mow and clean athletic fields; mark out boundaries on sports fields, water, fertilizes and aerates fields. Performs pre-trip inspections to vehicle and equipment. Clean and perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment. Perform routine laboring and maintenance duties when grounds keeping work has been completed. Perform traffic flagging duties at work site to ensure safe working environment. Perform other related duties.
