   Under the direction of the Front Desk Manager the individual in this position is responsible for relaying information to the public regarding programs offered at the Recreation Center. Duties include receipting monies, operating a computer with facility management software, assisting patrons entering the facility, answering the telephone and maintaining records.

   Requirements
   Ability to
positively interact with the general public
   Ability to work
with minimal supervision.
   Ability to
communicate effectively, especially via telephone.
   Ability to act
quickly and remain calm in emergency situations.
   Must have good
organizational skills and be a self-starter.
   Comfortable with
monetary transactions.
   Must be able to
work with large numbers of people in a highly diversified atmosphere.
   Understand rules, policies and procedures of the Rec Center.
   Leadership, decision making and public relation skills. 
   Must be available and flexible to work various hours including mornings, evenings and occasional weekends. 
   Must have an affinity for parks, recreation and/or fitness
   Pre-employment drug screening and background check 
   Responsibilities:
   Responsible
for assisting in the day to day operations of the Westlake Recreation Center
front desk.
     
   Primary tasks include,
but are not limited to the following:
   Processing program
registrations and memberships
   Checking patrons into
Center
   Answering phones,
filing and other general office responsibilities
   Assisting patrons
with any information regarding the Recreation Department
   Any other duties as
directed by Administrative and Management staff
   Assist
Front Desk Manager and Administrative Assistant/Cashier as necessary
   Qualifications
   :
   High
school diploma or equivalent.
   Two
(2) years’ experience in a front desk or customer service setting.
   Basic
knowledge of office equipment (fax machine, copier, computer, cash
register, etc.)
   Knowledge
of Microsoft Word and Excel desired.
   Excellent
interpersonal and public relations skills.
   Experience
in a parks and recreation setting desired.
