☷ City of Danville Virginia - Friday s free outdoor movie postponed

   Due to the forecast of inclement weather , Parks and Recreation has postponed Friday ' s showing of the movie “Trolls World Tour” at the Carrington Pavilion . The movie has been rescheduled for Friday , May 20 .
   Trolls World Tour is a 2020 American computer - animated musical comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures . The sequel to Trolls ( 2016 ) and the second installment in the franchise , the film features an ensemble cast with the voices of Anna Kendrick , Justin Timberlake , Rachel Bloom , James Corden , Ron Funches , Kelly Clarkson , Anderson . Paak , Sam Rockwell , George Clinton , and Mary J . Blige . The film follows Poppy and Branch as they discover several more troll tribes that represent music genres alien to their own . Troubles arise when the Queen of the Rock tribe plans to overthrow the foreign music genres to unite the trolls under rock music .
   The movie showing is part of Parks and Recreation’s “Movies at the Crossing” series . Gates for the movie series open at 7 p . m . with food available for purchase . Kids can enjoy games and activities . The movies begin at 8:30 p . m . Admission is free .
   The movie “Cars” scheduled for June 3 . Movie - goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets .
