Fleet Shop Working Foreman:
Supervises and coordinates the crew of mechanics and technicians who are performing the mechanical repair and servicing of road maintenance equipment, and other related work. This position is responsible work planning, scheduling, directing, and evaluating the repair and servicing of County road maintenance equipment. Employees of this class will be required to have a significant understanding of road maintenance equipment systems, electrical and mechanical testing equipment, and a variety of hand and power tools. Work will involve considerable contact with County employees, supervisors, and department heads requesting work on a variety of road maintenance equipment and light vehicles. Work will involve the actual performance of equipment repairs and will also require the employee to advise, consult, and assist subordinate employees. The Fleet Shop Working Foreman will be responsible for equipment repair schedules and records of necessary parts and supplies needed to accomplish such repairs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: Three (3) years’ experience in the skilled mechanical repair of automotive vehicles and related construction maintenance at a level equivalent to Equipment Mechanic;
OR
Substituting, on a month for month basis, any experience, education or training which would provide the level of knowledge and ability required.
Possession of a valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License is preferred. Must have proof of a valid Class “D” (regular) driver’s license with a safe driving record. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen before beginning work.
SALARY:
$4,457.00.
