Napa County will release its first unofficial election night report for the June 7 , 2022 Statewide Primary Election at 8:01 p . m . on the
June 7 , 2022 California Statewide Direct Primary Election Results webpage .
The first report contains the results from 14 , 141 ballots representing a 16% turnout of the 84 , 146 ballots mailed to voters on May 9 , 2022 . The ballots in this first count came through the mail; were placed in one of our 10 secure drop boxes or dropped off at a vote center through Sunday June 5 , 2022 . “This first report contains approximately 45 to 50% per cent of our projected turnout , ” commented Napa County Registrar of Voters John Tuteur , “which indicates that overall turnout could be at or near record lows . ” The lowest turnout in modern times was 25 . 17% statewide for the June 2014 Gubernatorial Primary with Napa County at 39 . 55% for that election . “I am pleased that Napa County voters always surpass the statewide average by a comfortable margin , ” Tuteur added .
Approximately 275 additional in person ballots from vote centers will be counted Election Night beginning at 8 p . m . and continuing until completed . A second report will be released by 10 p . m .
The next report after Election Night will be on Friday June 10 , 2022 in the late afternoon . “I hope to have several thousand additional ballots in that Friday count , ” Tuteur added . Further counts are scheduled on Monday June 13 , 2022 , Tuesday June 14 , 2022 and Wednesday June 15 , 2022 or until 95% of all ballots received have been counted . The final certified count will be released the week of June 27 , 2022 .
