   GENERAL SUMMARY
   To perform a variety of administrative and other duties in support of the Finance Department and Economic Development Director; to perform general record keeping, basic accounting, financial presentation documentation, reconciliation and provide general information and assistance to the public.

   PERVISION
   General supervision is provided by the Finance Director and Economic Development Director.
   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FINANCE ADMINISTRATION
   Supports budgetary performance by reconciling assigned general ledger account and/or utility billing records.
   Assist in calendaring, budgeting, and tax rate adoption for the organization.
   Benchmarking research and analysis.
   Assist staff in the creation of monthly financials, investment reports and information requests internally and externally.
   Perform clerical support and assistance to other staff in the completion of duties and responsibilities related to billing, payroll benefits, and other administrative tasks.
   Assist with Town Council Packet preparation.
   Assist with financial research and assist in improving the Finance transparency website.
   Assist with peer group comparisons for improvement to the Utility Billing website
   Perform routine duties as assigned.
   
   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
   All behaviors comply with the Town of Sunnyvale Personnel Policy.
   Provides direct administrative support.
   Assist in preparing agenda items for Economic Development Corporation meetings and Town Council Meetings; participate in assembling Economic Development Corporation agenda packets; and draft minutes of the Economic Development Corporation meetings; draft monthly financial reporting documents; and preparation of other items as required.
   Participates in the preparation of department budget.
   Assist in coordination of other subcommittees and meetings as needed.
   Prepare and organize EDC files according to projects, subjects and companies; maintain an updated listing of economic and business development projects.
   Required to keep confidentiality regarding all EDC matters, when requested.
   Greet clients and guests by phone or in-person in professional, courteous manner; screen calls, visitors and mail; assist with responses to requests for information and assistance.
   Prepare and compile a variety of correspondence as required; publish and post notices as required.
   Assist in maintaining and updating the Economic Development Corporation website; gathers current data; writes narratives; organizes changes in webpage layout and design; coordinates economic development webpage updates.
   Assist in maintaining EDC social media marketing, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
   Attendance at monthly economic development or committee meetings in the evening may be required.
   Perform other duties as may be required to accomplish the goals and mission of the EDC.
   OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
   Assist in researching and compiling data for special projects.
   Set up meeting rooms for meetings as required.
   Perform other duties as assigned.
   APTITUDE TEST:
   An aptitude test will be given during the interview to assess computer skills, accounting concepts, and bookkeeping skills. Test should be completed within 45 minutes.
