   Environmental Technician
    
   The Mower County Highway-Public Work’s Department has an opening and is accepting applications for the Environmental Technician position. This is a full-time union position.
   2022 starting wage is $24.4676/hour - $27.3221/hour 
   based on experience. 
    
   The first level of the Environmental Services Series is responsible for providing technical information, public education, ordinance enforcement and permit compliance and inspections. Responsibilities may include gathering physical data, conducting observations, recording notes, collecting samples, performing community surveys, educating and guiding residents and property owners, preparing and maintaining documentation, and responding to inquiries
   . The environmental technician performs a combination of technical and administrative duties for the Environmental Services Department. 
    
   Requirements: Associate Degree or two-year technical certificate in an environmental- or conservation-related field
   ; up to 1 year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    and a valid driver’s license.
