Provide a wide range of engineering services, including surveying, drafting, construction inspection, and permit preparation for public improvements, including roadways, water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer utilities.   Additional responsibilities include project file documentation, providing information to the public, and customer service.
   Obtain field survey data.  Inspect the construction of water, sewer and street improvements.  Complete ‘Record Drawings’ for all Public Works Improvements.  Work with the public, in a variety of capacities including helping customers at the front counter and assisting with answering phones. Distribute information to city departments.  Order supplies.  Review projects.  Calculate construction quantities.  Plan development for water, sewer, storm drainage and street projects. Check survey data on short plats and surveys.  
   This is a full-time, benefited position represented by the Office & Professional Employees Union, Local #8.
