Mobility , today and in the future , will be the focus of an EdmondShift open house event set for Sept . 27 , 3 to 7 p . m . , in the main auditorium at the Downtown Community Center , 28 E Main St .
The public is invited to come and speak with representatives from the City of Edmond and the Regional Transportation Authority of Central Oklahoma . Discussions will focus on proposed changes to Edmond’s bus service , CityLink , how mobility projects and actions are aligned with the community’s goals , and recent progress on commuter rail in the metro area .
Participants also can review and discuss the city’s long - range mobility plan , EdmondShift , which aims to present a comprehensive and strategic roadmap that will update , integrate and modernize the City of Edmond’s mobility network strategy into one comprehensive document .
An integral part of the city’s comprehensive plan , Edmond Plan , 2018 , EdmondShift serves as a framework for making the necessary improvements to achieve a truly multimodal network within the city . The plan provides mobility strategies for people who walk , bike , drive or roll with an emphasis on providing safety and prioritizing projects and actions that make it safe and convenient for people to shift between these modes throughout Edmond .
