The City of Radford is looking for a FT Customer Service Representative in our Utility Billing Office. The successful candidate will perform intermediate clerical work involving personal contact with the general public and preparation and/or maintenance of related records. The Customer Service Representative will respond to all inquiries from customers and other City departments; handle account inquiries; prepare applications and bills for utility accounts; answer the telephone and respond to inquiries; will perform various filing duties in addition to entering data into the computer on a variety of bills. The ideal candidate will also assist in cut-offs for nonpayment of bills; assist in preparing utility bills for mailing; check meter readings entered into the computer system and have the ability to explain City policies to customers regarding deposits, bills, etc. Successful completion of pre-employment testing and background screening is a must.
