City of Ames Iowa - Construction Work on Top O Hollow Road Begins Tuesday 20 May 2022 ( news )

   Construction of underground utilities improvements on Top O Hollow Road will begin Tuesday , May 24 , weather permitting . Top O Hollow Road will be closed to through traffic from Hoover to Roy Key avenues during this construction .
   The City of Ames has contracted with Manatts Inc . and its subcontractor Jet Drain to complete these improvements , which include replacement of storm sewer intakes and upsizing pipes between intakes . This work is expected to be complete in five to seven days . Future phases of the project , including removal and replacement of pavement , will occur at a later date .
   All are encouraged to take note of this construction activity and allow extra travel time as delays may occur . As always , caution should be exercised when traveling through the construction area . For safety reasons , please keep children and pets away from the construction zone .
