NOTICE OF POSITION VACANCY
TITLE: Concessions Attendant (Seasonal/temporary – multiple positions)
DEPT: Recreation and Parks
SALARY: $7.98 per hour
DATE POSITION AVAILABLE: May 6, 2022
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This position is responsible for serving snacks/ice cream/drinks and assorted items to include collecting payments from patrons as well as maintaining and stocking inventory. Customer service skills are a critical part of this position and the ability to be an effective communicator and listener is of significant importance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Collects monies due and provides change to patrons purchasing concession items.
Maintains inventory and advises management of inventory levels.
Performs routine upkeep and cleaning of concession area and pool facility.
Possesses knowledge of safety procedures and pool rules for the swimming pool facility.
Possesses skills in handling money and can provide quality customer service to every patron.
Possesses the ability to orally communicate with team members and patrons.
Requires availability to attend weekly in-service trainings.
Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
*Applicant is required to possess a NC Identification Card
*Applicant should possess an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Training Certification
*Applicant needs to be available to work an average of 20-30 hours per week during the season
*Applicant will need to have the availability to work from 10am-7pm
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position is light to medium work requiring the exertion of up to 35 pounds of force occasionally and up to 15 pounds of force frequently; employee must lift, pull, or move the items.
Work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, grasping; vocal communication and visual acuity are required.
