Welcome to the City of Sedona’s monthly newsletter! This is to help keep residents informed on City happenings . Read on for a round up of interesting news , events and announcements .
24 - hour Short - term Rental Hotline
Having an issue with a short - term rental? You can report your concerns or problems you have with a specific short - term rental , 24 - 7 , by either calling 928 - 203 - 5110 or filling out the online incident reporting form at
www . sedonaaz . gov/str
. Information submitted will be shared with the person listed as the short - term rental operator’s emergency contact for a response and city of Sedona staff will take follow up action as needed . Additionally , the information will be stored in a central database linked to that short - term rental’s registration .

On
April 27 , 2022
, City Council heard an update on
emergency management planning efforts
, including information on the recently updated Emergency Operations Plan , a Community Emergency Preparedness Guide , a Threat and Hazard Identification Risk Analysis project , and an evacuation modeling pilot project with Coconino County for Uptown/Brewer Rd . The evacuation modeling pilot project will be further discussed on June 14 , 2022 at the 4:30 p . m . regular City Council meeting .

May 11 , 2022
, City Council received a comprehensive update on
Sedona in Motion ( SIM )
, including demonstrations of the traffic models that show how various projects work together to alleviate traffic congestion through the Uptown/Brewer/SR 179 corridor .
On
May 18 and 19 , 2022
, City Council discussed the
proposed Fiscal Year 2023 budget
. Over 16 hours and two days , City Staff and City Council took a deep dive into the proposed work plans and budgets from every department at City Hall . The adoption of the Fiscal Year 2023 tentative budget , which sets the City ' s spending cap for that year , is scheduled for July 12 , 2022 .
Note: the June 25 , 2022 meeting to discuss the Sedona Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau’s program of work and budget for Fiscal Year 2023 has been moved to June 15 , 2022 .

Posse Grounds playground
will be
closed for improvements
including installation of new slides , swings , climbing boards , rubberized ground and shade structures . Expect the playground to be closed for approximately 120 days but keep in mind Sunset Park’s playground and Splash Pad are open during this time .
