   In celebration of National Poetry Month in April , please enjoy a special display of poems in the Gallery Hall throughout the month . Enjoy original works by local poets , staff favorites , and perennial classics .  
   Are you interested in writing your own poetry? Try "An Introduction to Haiku" on Tuesday , April 19 , 2022 at 6 p . m . , led by local author John Burgette . This program , just for adults ages 18 and up , is perfect for both beginners and more seasoned writers .

   Also for adults , the Poetry Society of Tennessee is joining the Collierville Burch Library to host a poetry Open Mic event . Each participant will leave with a keepsake of the event .
