POSITION SUMMARY
The San Miguel County Social Services Department is seeking a talented individual with a positive attitude to join our team as a full-time, year-round Case Manager I. This position assists residents of San Miguel County by determining eligibility, enrolling and administering various public assistance programs offered through the Social Services Department. This position oversees the administration of but not limited to the following public assistance programs; Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Colorado Works, and Medicaid. This position performs case management activities for the Colorado Works Program including conducting assessments, identifying barriers to employment, developing an employment plan with the customer, and providing needed services to support self-sufficiency. This position thoroughly documents all case activities in the Colorado Benefits Management System (CBMS) computer system.
The position will report directly to the Social Services Director and will be compensated at a Grade 28, Step 1-4 $25.30-$27.25 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This position possesses no supervisory responsibilities, but will require frequent interaction with the general public. As a full-time position, the Case Manager I will be eligible for all County-sponsored insurance and benefit plans.
Supervision Received:
Receives direct supervision from the Social Services Director.

This position possesses no supervisory responsibilities, but will require frequent interaction with the general public.
