Press Release
    On Tuesday , August 16th , 2022 at 12:42 pm , the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a car versus motorcycle crash on Highway 63 at County Road VV Hager City , WI , in Trenton Township .
   It was determined a 2006 Buick Lucerne , operated by Vernon Schoeder 82 years old from Elmwood , WI who was crossing Highway 63 east bound from County Road VV onto 150th Avenue . Mr . Schoeder failed to yield the right of way to a north bound 2022 Piaggo Scooter , operated by John Marshall 73 years old from Red Wing , MN .
   Mr . Marshall was pronounced decease at the scene . Mr . Schoeder was uninjured in the crash .
    
   Assisting the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office at the scene was the Ellsworth Fire Department , Red Wing Fire Department , Red Wing Area Ambulance Service , Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office and the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office .
