In support of efforts to build capacity and foster a workplace environment that encourages authentic inclusion , the City and County of Broomfield ' s department of Diversity , Equity and Organizational Development has partnered with Denver Metro based artist and cultural capacity strategist Chloé Duplessis to offer the Capacity through Creativity program .
   The innovative program is the first of its kind , and utilizes art , history and team - building techniques to mindfully address equity , inclusion and accessibility challenges . Nearly 175 employees participated in the program that began on March 29 and wrapped on May 4 .
   The art created during the program will be featured in a city - wide art exhibition starting June 17 at the Broomfield Library , and includes over 100 original works of art created by employees . The exhibition is free , open to the public and runs through July 17 , 2022 .
   About the Artist and program facilitator
   Chloé Duplessis
    creates images that illuminate the forgotten , elevate the unknown , and mindfully address the present . In doing so , she seeks to erode the social constructs that oppress people of color and those navigating disability . She is a legally blind artist , historian and culture bearer committed to creating work that centers history and healing .
   With over twenty years of experience in intercultural engagement , arts administration and advocacy , she has traveled to nine countries and 24 states in support of her work .
