Thomas L . Bolling was ratified Tuesday , April 19th the new director of the Public Works Department by the Board of County Commissioners .  
   Bolling has served as Assistant Public Works Director since July 2020 . He replaces Tim Dahl , who retired in February 2022 after 23 years in the Department .  
   Bolling is responsible for organizing , directing , and coordinating several divisions within Public Works , including maintenance for 2 , 883 miles of county roads , solid waste treatment , fleet maintenance , and oversight of the airports in Gabbs , Tonopah and Beatty .  
   The Bolling family has lived in Nye County since 1959 , and he graduated from Pahrump Valley High School in 1996 . He brings 25 years of public works type of experience to the county , having worked for various private companies in multiple jurisdictions involving multiple private and public development contracts .
