The Fairfield County Municipal Court is seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented person with excellent time management skills to fill a full-time Court Bailiff position.  
   Main responsibilities include ensuring security of the public who visit the court and the employees of the court at all times and maintaining courtroom order as directed by the judges. The Court Bailiff is responsible for responding to routine questions related to service of documents, court forms and rules, assisting and arranging for supervision and transportation of confined prisoners and ensuring that all court proceedings are properly recorded, stored and maintained. 
   In addition to indoor duties, outdoor duties will include service of court documents, supervision of court orders such as court-ordered setouts in eviction cases and other duties requested by the judges or court administrator.
   The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.  A high school diploma, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. The carrying of a firearm and/or taser is required.
