Description
:
The purpose of this position is to promote and maintain continuity with procedures and processes within the Assessor's Office; maintain a high level of customer service; process and complete research on documents within the Assessor's Office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:
Assist the public at the counter, on the telephone and via e-mails promptly
Process daily transfers from a recording search of ownership and titles
Continue to maintain subdivision and metes and bounds official records
Process maps for metes and bounds properties
Assist both public and appraisers in the process of appeals during appeal periods
Create mailing labels, sales reports, subdivision reports and other reports as requested by customers and the Administrative Supervisor
Assist in the process of Personal Property
Run reports and gather data for the Assessor's Office, Park County departments, and other State and Federal governmental agencies
Research issues with land, title and ownership
Handle special projects and tasks as needed from the Administrative Supervisor.
Nature of Contact with Others:
Contacts by this position are made with people internal and external to the County to provide or obtain information.
Responsibility for property, materials, money, and confidential information:
This position is responsible for the confidentiality of information connected with the routine performance of duties in this office. Types of equipment used include: personal computer, copy machine, printer, county vehicle, maps, camera, telephone, calculator, microfiche viewer.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and sit, to use hands and fingers, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand. Occasionally the employee might be required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Time is divided between work at a desk or counter. Work at the desk requires the ability to use the equipment listed above and to assist taxpayers with questions.
