EAST LANSING , Mich . — All - of - us Express Children’s Theatre ( AECT ) will be hosting a benefit concert on Thursday , June 9 at 7 p . m . at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center , 819 Abbot Road . Doors will open at 6:30 p . m .
The benefit concert will feature a performance by Michigan singer - songwriter Wally Pleasant , who plays humorous songs based on folk music and rock ‘n’ roll influences from the 1950s and 1960s .
We ' re excited to start the summer off with a family - friendly concert featuring a local musician , ” said AECT Board of Trustees Vice President Jen VanDerHeide . “It will be a great way for families to celebrate the end of the school year while supporting children ' s theatre programming .
Tickets are available for purchase ahead of time and at the door . Pre - sale tickets are $10 for youth ( 17 and under ) , $20 for adults ( 18 and older ) and tickets purchased at the door are $15 for youth , $25 for adults . Children under the age of 5 years old can attend for free . Community members can purchase tickets online at

All - of - us Express Children’s Theatre ( AECT ) offers young people of all backgrounds , cultures and lifestyles the opportunity to produce professional quality plays , study many aspects of the dramatic arts and develop valuable life skills while providing outstanding entertainment to the community . AECT brings four major productions to the Greater Lansing community each year with the help of hundreds of youth from throughout the region .
