   Administrative Coordinator / Fleet Manager - Full-Time
   The City of Norcross is looking for a full-time Administrative Coordinator / Fleet Manager. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the efficient and effective operation of the police department’s fleet, equipment, and uniforms. Demonstrates judgment, selection, and interpretation in the application of police guidelines. Guidelines include city ordinances, departmental standard operating procedures, city policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
   Oversees police department vehicle fleet to include the logistics involved in ordering, receiving, outfitting, and maintaining vehicles, golf carts, and other auxiliary vehicles as well as vehicle registration, insurance, fuel authorizations, peach passes, and safety recalls.
   Handles the sale of surplus vehicles and equipment as needed.
   Orders and replaces all police department personnel’s uniforms and required gear/equipment.
   Works with vendors and agencies to secure the best price, service, and quality of work on maintenance and uniforms.
   Serves as a liaison between the police department, vendors, City IT and car builders (outfitters) on projects.
   Serves as administrator and point of contact for the 1033 Excess Property and 1122 Procurement programs, with Department of Public Safety.  This program is to obtain surplus equipment/vehicles from the Federal government.
   Reviews and assists with all maintenance invoices, vehicle and equipment requisitions and purchase orders as required.
   Prepares vendor forms and tax exemption forms to vendors.
   Prepares inventory identification forms and assists inventory of police departmental vehicles, uniforms, and equipment.
   Any other duties as assigned by management.
   Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
   Possession of or the ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued in the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
   High school diploma or GED and one to three years of experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience.
   Attends and participates in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position.
   Scope and Impact:
   This job has recurring work situations involving moderate degrees of discretion. The need for accuracy and effective utilization of accepted programs and routines is high. Errors in judgment will waste resources and adversely impact performance. Incumbent operates independently but work is verified. Content of work priorities are determined by supervision.
   Communications/Customer Contact:
   Contacts are typically with co-workers, general public, representatives of other law enforcement agencies and other city employees, local elected officials, vendors and the general public.

   Knowledge of the geography and state system of the city.

   Skill in operating such modern office equipment and MS Office software.
   Skill in using police communications equipment.
   Skill in planning and organizing work.
   Skill in oral and written communication, especially when communicating with the public.
   Ability to work well with others in a positive team environment.
   Ability to display professionalism at all times
   Excellent customer service skills are required.
   Excellent time management skills to ensure that deadlines are met.

   Job Type: Full-time
   Starting Salary 40,896.84 (minimum) up to 53,165.89 (midpoint) based upon qualifications/experience.
