Voter Registration
Tomorrow , November 1 is the deadline for voter registration for the election next Tuesday , November 8 . The Registrar of Voters Office will be open tomorrow from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM for voter registrations . Please bring proof of identity such as social security card , driver ' s license or birth certificate . If foreign born , proof of citizenship is requested .
Election Day Registration ( EDR ) is available to new voters , those who have recently moved to New Fairfield and those who have moved to a new address in New Fairfield . EDR is available at Town Hall in the Registrar of Voters Office beginning at 6:00 AM and ending at 8:00 PM on Election Day . You will need to provide proof of identity and residency to the Registrar . EDR is NOT available at the polls .
Absentee Ballots
Absentee ballots are available at the Town Clerk’s Office Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM , Friday from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM , and on Saturday , November 5 from 9:00 AM – noon . Absentee ballots will be issued by the Town Clerk through close of business on Monday , November 7 . All absentee ballots must be received by the Town Clerk no later than 8:00 PM on Election Day .
