Hawthorne is gearing up to open the swimming pool for the summer on Memorial Day weekend .  Emergency repairs currently underwayat the pool could delay that starting date , something the Borough is attempting to avoid .    Membership ifor the season is available to residents of Hawthorne and North Haledon only .  Applications , with the appropriate fee , may be submitted in one of three ways:
    1 ) By mail to Borough of Hawthorne , Pool Membership , 445 Lafayette Avennue , Hawthorne , NJ 07506 through the end of May
    2 ) In person at the Municipal Building between teh hours of noon and 4 p . m . on Ssturday , May 14 , or Sundsy , May 15 .
    3 ) In person at the pool during hours of operation after it opens Memorial Day weekend .
